You're preparing for a public speaking event in a large venue. What are the best microphones to use?
For me, the headset microphone or the Lavalier mic is the best. I like to move around when I speak on a stage and engage with the audience. I have had some experiences with the Lavalier microphone picking up sounds or scraping against my clothing. So, I might favor the headset mics. Comfort is also important to me, so the headset microphone must be of the highest quality. These microphones also tend to sound and project better than the Lavalier mic.

How can you avoid coming across as rude in your emails?
I'd like to add a different perspective. I think tone is something heard not read. I think readers of email need to take some responsibility. The six tips mentioned are excellent. But we've all had an experience where we've thought we followed these tips but the reader was still offended by something we said, or the way we said something. I advocate for writers to write thoughtfully, with care. And, for readers to read carefully with empathy. Grow some thicker skin. And, react the way you would want someone reading an email you wrote to react.

How can you create urgency without resorting to manipulative tactics?
Creating a sense of urgency in retail marketing can be accomplished authentically by focusing on customer-centric methods. Lead with the unique benefits of your product to communicate its value. Use availability as an urgency driver utilizing limited edition items or early bird discounts. Deliver comprehensive information on your product through interactive demonstrations or Q&A sessions. Consider a loyalty program for early access to new products. Remember, honesty and transparency build long-term customer relationships and successful selling.

How can you make your landing page more interactive?
I am a fan of the quiz. Not only does it provide interactivity for the landing page visitor, but it allows the business to collect valuable information. When I put a quiz on a landing page I always include a few questions that tell me something helpful about the quiz taker. I might ask what industry they work in. Or their title. Something that might help me build a relationship with the landing page visitor while determining if they are the decision-maker when it comes to hiring me.

The Small Business Owner's Guide To Inbound Marketing
Motivational Press
This book is a true guide to small business owners who are ready to up their marketing game. One of the reasons I wrote this book is because inbound marketing works. And, it works for businesses of all sizes. In my experience, it's small business owners who are most hesitant to embrace the concept. It's not uncommon for me to meet with a small business owner and hear:
"Inbound marketing, what's that?"
"Inbound marketing is too expensive!"

In my experience, it's small business owners who are most hesitant to embrace the concept. It's not uncommon for me to meet with a small business owner and hear:
"Inbound marketing, what's that?"
"Inbound marketing is too expensive!"
"I don't have time to create the content you're asking for."
"I don't have the budget for the tools I need to run inbound marketing campaigns."
"Why would anyone give up a name and email address to download any content I might create?"
"How am I ever going to drive the right people to my website or landing pages?
Today's marketing is about reaching out to people who already know you...you reach out, on a regular basis, with information and offers relevant to your contacts and it turns out that if you do it right, you will begin to convert more people than you are reaching out to. You grow your base and your business through repeat business and referrals. And, in the end, it turns out you keep a lot more of your existing customers, so you don't need as many new customers, and it costs less and takes less time and energy. -

"Brad Friedman on Digital Marketing - Doing Social Media Right, When You Don't Have the Time and Don't Want to Get in Trouble"
Building a professional online presence is a challenge—especially if you must do this and comply with regulations. Many business owners know they have to have an online presence to compete, but they think digital marketing is silly. I often hear, “Social media? That’s not something businesses do. That’s what my kids spend most of their day doing.” Right! It’s…"Brad Friedman on Digital Marketing - Doing Social Media Right, When You Don't Have the Time and Don't Want to Get in Trouble"
It’s also something consumers of products and services spend portions of their days doing. And social media is only one tool we must learn to utilize in our digital marketing toolbox. -
